Nesbert “Yabo” Saruchera, the recently re-appointed Black Rhinos coach, is brimming with confidence as he aims to steer the army’s flagship football team back into the Premiership within a year. The Rhinos, unfortunately relegated on the final day of the previous season, are determined to bounce back in style and reclaim their top-flight position.

Their journey begins in the 2024 Northern Region Division One, where they’ll face stiff competition from Mwoos FC, Harare City, and Black Mambas, all vying for a coveted Premiership spot. But Yabo, undeterred by the tough road ahead, believes the Rhinos have the grit and talent to rise to the challenge.

“I’m thrilled to be back with the Black Rhinos family,” Yabo expressed. “We have a crucial task ahead – returning to the Premiership in 2025. To achieve this, we need unwavering dedication and teamwork throughout the season.”

Building a formidable squad is key to their ambitions, and Yabo plans to strategically utilise resources. “We’ll focus on assembling a strong team, potentially tapping into the talent pool of our sister clubs, to ensure Black Rhinos is a force to be reckoned with in the fight for promotion.”

Black Rhinos fans can anticipate a determined and revitali’ed team under Yabo’s leadership. Their quest for redemption begins in the Northern Region Division One, and every match promises to be a battle for glory
