A Harare woman will no longer have to face repeated rape on the matrimonial bed after the court ordered her husband to stop abusing her.

Loice Rapozo accused husband Achirid Kaduku of being a monstrous sexual partner and pleaded for protection at the Harare Civil Court.

Rapozo said Kaduku was aggressive and militant who beat her often and extended his violence to the children.

“Anoita zvekumanikidzira he forces himself on me).  He assaults me often and he also threatens and assaults the children. They are now afraid of him,” she said.

She said Kaduku now barring her from a normal social life.

“Recently, he told me not go to church, he does not want me to interact with other people,” she said.

Kaduku in his defense refuted the allegations of violence saying his wife was the physically aggressive partner.

“I am not assaulting her; she is the one assaulting me,” he said.

He said that their marital strife was triggered by his wife’s extramarital affairs.

“We had a problem in 2016 over her affairs.

“I think in January there was someone she was in love with, l even think they slept together,” he said.

Rapozo declined to engage on the matter saying she had not come court to answer to her husband’s infidelity allegations.

The court found in Loice Rapozo’s favour and ordered Achirid Kaduku to not sexually abuse, insult and assault the applicant.
