Chitando returns to Mines Ministry in reshuffle

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has reassigned three Cabinet ministers in terms of Subsection 1 of Section 104 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe.

Daniel Garwe has replaced Winston Chitando as Minister of Local Government and Public Works with Chitando bouncing back as Mines and Mining Development Minister, a portfolio that was held by Zhemu Soda.

Soda moves to head the Ministry of National Housing and Social Amenities.

The President has also, in terms of Subsection 2 of Section 104, made the following appointments and reassignment of deputy ministers:

Senator Musa Ncube has been appointed Deputy Minister of National Housing and Social Amenities while Senator Headman Moyo is now the Deputy Minister of Veterans of the Liberation Struggle Affairs.

Yeukai Simbanegavi has also been reassigned to be Deputy Minister of Energy and Power Development.
