A man who was allegedly helped by his aunt in raping a 13-year-old juvenile has been taken to court, together with his aunt.
Nathan Chimuromo, 22, of Bindura and Angela Ngorima, 25, of Chinamhora, appeared at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts charged with rape.
Chimuromo was remanded in custody, he will appear in court on May 15 while Ngorima, who was coming from home, was remanded out of custody to May 21.
The complainant in this matter is a 13-year-old juvenile.
The State alleges that on April 28, at around 1000 hours, the complainant was sent by her mother to collect a plate which she had left at Ngorima’s homestead.
It is alleged that while there, Ngorima proposed love to her on behalf of Chimuromo but she refused.
The State alleges that it was that time that Ngorima dragged her into a room and Chimuromo immediately followed.
It is alleged that Ngorima left the complainant in the room, together with Chimuromo in the same room, locked it and went away with the keys.
While in the room, is alleged that Chimuromo started fondling the complainant’s breasts before removing her skirt and pant.
The court heard that he then raped her.
During the entire act, the complainant tried to stop but she failed.
After some time while the complainant was still locked in the room with Chimuromo, the complainant’s mother came looking for her and asked Ngorima who said he had not seen her.
The mother went away. Ngorima later opened the door and let the complainant go.
The complainant was later asked by her mother and she narrated the whole ordeal to her mother, leading to the two’s arrest.
