Drunk husband bashes wife for telling him not to make noise

A hostile husband who came home drunk, assaulted his wife after reprimanding him from making noise has been taken to court.

Justice Phiri, 45, of Hatcliffe, appeared at the Harare Magistrate's Courts charged with physical abuse.

The complainant in this case is Sunungurai Ngirazi, 42, Hatcliffe Consortium, Hatcliffe.

The State alleges that on August 24,2024, Ngirazi was asleep when Phiri came home drunk and started making noise.

It is alleged that Ngirazi then told Phiri not to make noise, and this did not go well with him.

The court was informed that Phiri then started to insult Ngirazi with open hands and kicks several times on her face and all over her body.

He pleaded guilty and will appear in court today for plea recording.
