A man has been taken to court, together with his sister, on allegations of abusing his wife
Dominic Marufu, 35, of Nelson Mandela Avenue and Ottilia Marufu, 30, of Tomlinson Depot, appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Courts facing physical abuse charges.
The complainant in this matter is Esnath Marufu, 40, residing at 136 Nelson Mandela Avenue.
The State alleges that on August 6, 2023, at around 0900 hours at Number 136 Nelson Mandela Avenue, Marufu pushed Esnath, chasing her out of the house over a misunderstanding and also assaulted her with open hands on the face while Ottilia was holding her hands.
Ottilia poked Esnath on the face more than five times while holding her hand.
The following day, Esnath discovered that her US$21 which was in her brown handbag was missing.
Marufu and Otilia were ordered to appear in court on August 29, for their trial date.
