Highlanders FC are brimming with confidence after their recent victory over Arenel Movers and will look to carry that momentum into their upcoming match against FC Platinum at Mandava Stadium.

The Bulawayo giants, currently fifth on the log standings, are aiming to close the gap on the teams above them and secure a respectable finish in the league. A win against FC Platinum could propel them into third position, surpassing Ngezi Platinum Stars and Manica Diamonds.

Coach Kelvin Kaindu is aware of the significance of this match and the need to appease a section of the club's supporters who have expressed dissatisfaction with the team's performance. He is also mindful of the challenges posed by FC Platinum, a formidable opponent.

"We had not won for some time, but we don't want to be carried away because we have got a game on Saturday and we have few days to prepare and we still have a number of players that are out limping," Kaindu said. "The game against FC Platinum is another match in which we need to focus and hopefully we maintain our consistency in terms of the results."

Highlanders will be without Marvin Sibanda and Archford Faira due to injuries, but they will welcome back Marvelous Chigumira. Meanwhile, Arenel Movers, who were defeated by Highlanders, will face Hwange in a crucial relegation battle.

Coach Philani Ncube of Arenel Movers acknowledged the team's financial challenges but expressed determination to keep the side afloat. He highlighted the importance of winning their remaining matches to avoid relegation.

Hwange, on the other hand, are buoyed by their recent victory over Caps United and will be looking to build on that momentum. The coal miners are currently in the relegation zone but have a chance to climb out with positive results in their upcoming matches.
