A 47-year-old Chirumhanzu woman was struck dead by a bolt of lightning which also left her son with severe burns.
The son is currently admitted at Mvuma District Hospital where he is receiving treatment for the burns he sustained from the lightning bolt.
Midlands provincial police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko said the deceased Elisa Zhou was coming from a church service on Sunday when the incident happened.
The son was strapped on his mother’s back and passers-by rescued him from his mother’s boty.
