The stage is set for the 2025 Bonaqua Africa Triathlon Cup, which kicks off this Saturday at the picturesque Troutbeck Resort in Nyanga. The event promises to be an exhilarating showcase of endurance and skill, as top triathletes from around the world converge on Zimbabwean soil.
While Zimbabwe may not have a representative in the elite category, the country's junior triathletes are eager to make their mark. Nicole Madya, Stanley Chasakara, Callum Smith, and Mandlenkosi Mthethwa will be flying the Zimbabwean flag in the Africa Junior Cup, which also features participants from South Africa and Namibia.

The 2025 Bonaqua Africa Triathlon Cup has attracted a diverse field of international triathletes, each with their sights set on victory. Among them are Noah Künz from Austria, Marit Van Den Berg from the Netherlands, and Bongani Tshabalala from South Africa.
"The field is bigger and stronger than last year," said Künz, who finished second in the men's category last year. "It's going to be a close and fast race."
Van Den Berg, a silver medalist in the women's race, echoed Künz's sentiments. "The field is small, but it's strong. I'm excited to see who will come out on top."
The 2025 Bonaqua Africa Triathlon Cup is part of a larger multi-sport event that promises to deliver an action-packed weekend of racing. Other events on the program include the National Championships, non-championship events, and youth mini events.
