A 50-year-old man from Seke has been sentenced to five years in prison, with one year suspended, for attempting to murder a police officer.
Gilbert Dongodza was convicted for an attack on a 36-year-old officer on December 23, 2023 in Arcadia.
Court records state that Dongodza threatened the officer with an okapi knife, chased him along Seke Road, and despite warning shots, threw stones and stabbed the officer below the right eye.
