A woman had to escape from her former husband who wanted to rape her by biting his finger and pulling his testicles.
This was disclosed when Obvious Kamhande appeared before Bindura regional magistrate Amos Mbobo on Monday, facing attempted rape charges.
The court heard that sometime in May this year, Kamhande ambushed his ex-wife and tripped her down along a foot path.
The victim’s skirt got torn in the ensuing tussle. The woman bit Kamhande on the finger and pulled his testicles before fleeing from the scene.
She later reported the matter to the police, leading to Kamhande’s arrest.
Mbobo slapped Kamhande with a six months’ jail term and suspended three months on condition of good behaviour.
