ZimTaps Zambian Expertise to Anchor New National Public Health Institute

A senior Zimbabwean health delegation, led by Permanent Secretary Dr Aspect Maunganidze, has arrived in Zambia for a three-day knowledge-exchange mission at the Zambia National Public Health Institute.

The high-level visit is a strategic move to support the establishment of the Public Health Institute of Zimbabwe, an entity designed to enhance health security and emergency preparedness across the country.

The delegation, which includes senior health officials such as Dr Agnes Mahomva and Dr Raiva Simbi, represents what Information Secretary Nick Mangwana described as a “whole-of-government commitment” to modernising Zimbabwe’s health architecture.

The mission is focused on studying ZNPHI’s governance structures, legal frameworks and multi-sectoral coordination mechanisms.
