ZIMSEC Extends November 2026 Examination Registration Deadline

The registration deadline for the November 2026 public examinations has been extended to 22 May 2026, following requests from parents and guardians for additional time to complete payments.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister Torerayi Moyo announced the extension during a Question and Answer session in the National Assembly on Wednesday, saying Government had considered appeals from stakeholders facing difficulties meeting the initial deadline.

“We have received requests of that nature to the effect that parents and guardians are requesting that the deadline for the Zimbabwe school examinations for November 2026 be extended,” Moyo said.

He added that after consultations, authorities resolved to move the deadline from 27 March 2026 to 22 May 2026 to allow more candidates to complete the registration process.

“After making some consultations, I am pleased to announce that the November 2026 public examinations deadline for registration will be extended from 27 March 2026 to 22 May 2026,” he said.

The Minister also urged examination centres that have already collected registration fees to deposit the funds promptly into official bank accounts to avoid disrupting examination preparations.

“We encourage that the centres that had collected registration fees should proceed and deposit the fees with the Zimbabwe school examinations banking institution so that it does not disrupt the preparations for the examinations for the November 2026 examinations,” he said.

The extension is expected to ease pressure on parents and guardians while allowing schools and examination authorities adequate time to finalise logistical arrangements ahead of the November examination session conducted by the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council.
