A celebrity couple who had a lavish wedding in Zimbabwe, Daniella Simba Allen and Igho Ubiriho are on the run in connection with drug trafficking and money laundering.
The couple is on the wanted list and Nigerian National Drug Law Enforcement Agency authorities have allegedly seized their properties and froze their accounts.
The law enforcement agencies in Nigeria have put out information which states that the couple are wanted, and if they return to their country, they are most likely going to be arrested on arrival.
The couple and another suspect are wanted for allegedly recruiting teenage girls into drug trafficking while they served as the arrowheads of an international syndicate operating from Los Angeles, USA.
NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, said the lid was blown off the cartel when NDLEA operatives at the NAHCO Import Shed of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos intercepted a consignment of 32.7 kilogrammes of Loud, a strong variant of cannabis concealed in cartons of used wears on Wednesday, November 16, 2022.
He further explained that a freight agent, Ukoh Ifeanyi Oguguo, was immediately arrested while further investigations led to the arrest of four more suspects namely Chikodi Favour; Obiyom Shalom Chiamaka; Nnochiri Chidinma Promise and Edward Omatseye (a.k.a Montana).
The couple had a wedding which was attended by businessmen and famous celebrities from outside the country, including Nigerian musician Davido.
Allen is a British-born fashion designer and socialite of Zimbabwean heritage. She is the founder and owner of TIR Fashion House.
