A Glen Norah A man has been remanded in custody after being found in possession of dangerous drugs.
Tinashe Ngwangwa, 28, appeared before magistrate Dennis Mangosi on allegations of unlawful possession of drugs.
The State, through prosecutor Zororai Nkomo, alleges that on August 10, 2023, around 2000 hours, the police were informed that Ngwangwa was dealing with dangerous drugs in Glen Norah A, Harare.
They visited the house and upon arrival they found Ngwangwa seated on the sofa in the dining room.
They introduced themselves and explained their purpose of the visit after which they conducted a body search on Ngwangwa. They found and seized a cream alleged to have been drugs from Ngwangwa’s left jean trousers pocket.
He was subsequently arrested and taken to the police station.
A test was run and the suspected drug tested positive to Methamphetamine.
It weighed approximately 2.2 grammes with a street value of approximately ZWL$20 000.
Ngwangwa was remanded in custody.
