Woman stashes crystal meth in undergarment as police raid

A woman, who stashed drugs in her undergarment garment after a police visit at her house, has appeared in court.

Kudzanal Marozva, 32, residing in Warren Park D, appeared before magistrate Dennis Mangosi charged with unlawful possession of drugs.

The State, through prosecutor Zebediah Bofu, alleges that on July 20 at around 0630 hours, the police were informed that Marozva was dealing with dangerous drugs called Crystal Methamphetamine at her house.

Detectives from CID Drugs and Narcotics went to her house on 20 July 2023 at around 0630.

Marozva opened the door and the detectives introduced themselves to her and explained the purpose of their visit.

She led them into her bedroom where she quickly picked a black sock which was on the dressing table and stashed it in her undergarment.

A body search was then conducted, leading to the seizure of the black sock containing 44 sachets of crystal meth from her undergarment.

She was subsequently arrested and escorted to CID Drugs Narcotics, Harare together with the drugs.

Tests were done and they tested positive to Methamphetamine, which weighed approximately 22 grammes.

The street value of the crystal meth was ZWL$1 100 000.

Mangosi remanded her in custody to July 24.
