Zimbabwe qualified among the 16 countries participating at the 10th edition of the 2023 Women’s FIH Hockey Junior World Cup scheduled for Santiago, Chile from November 29 to December 10.
In a Facebook post on their page on Sunday, The Hockey Association of Zimbabwe wished the team the best as they travelled to the South American city.
“Wishing our U21 Women’s Hockey team an unforgettable journey as they travel today to Santiago, Chile for the Junior World Cup.”
Zimbabwe qualified for the global showpiece after coming second on the Africa Junior Cup in Ismailia, Egypt in March this year.
Zimbabwe is in Group C, together with Argentina, South Korea and Spain.
