Zesa Holdings subsidiary, the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company, has warned of a massive power cut across the country from May 4-5.
The power cut, occasioned by the maintenance of the Chertsey-Tokwe 330kV line will subsist from 06:00 hours and 18:00 hours and will affect the Eastern, Western, and Southern regions of the power utility’s distribution network.
In a statement, ZETDC listed areas which will be affected.
“Masvingo city, Mucheke, Rujeko, Zimre Park, 4 Brigade, Gokomere, Bikita, Nyika, Bikita Minerals, Marah Ranch, Nemamwa, Great Zimbabwe, Bushman Water Works, Civil, Mashava, Hama, Chirumhanzu, Zvishavane, Gwanda, Mberengwa, Chiredzi, Tokwe Mukosi, Beitbridge, Checheche, Zaka, Jerera, Mkwasine, Renco Mine, Mpapa and the surrounding areas.”
ZETDC advised customers to treat all circuits as live during this time as power may be restored without notice.
