Man stabs lover after break-up

A man from Hopley, Harare, who allegedly stabbed his girlfriend of many years, has been taken to court.

Tichafa Mugwagwa, 40, of Zone 6, Hopely, Waterfalls, appeared at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts charged with attempted murder.

He was ordered to appear in court on June 4.

The complainant in this matter is Rosemary Moyo, 39.

Mugwagwa has been Moyo’s lover since 2017.

The State alleges that on March 30, at around 1900 hours, Moyo broke up with Mugwagwa, who packed her things and left Mugwagwa’s place.

The court heard that that Mugwagwa escorted Moyo to the bus stop and along the way, stabbed her with an okapi knife on the collar-bone.
