Man submits fake documentation to change registration plates

A man has been arraigned before the court facing forgery allegations.

Learnmore Chikwizira of Glen Norah Norah appeared before magistrate Standford Mambanje at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts charged with forgery.

He will appear in court on May 21, for bail application.

The State alleges that on May, 17, at Central Vehicle Registry, Harare, Chikwizira forged a CVR4 form for the purpose of changing registration number plates of a Chevrolet Trailblaizer on registration number ADV5479 belonging to Sydney Mabhiza.

The court heard that Chikwizira submitted a false document with a fake criminal investigation department Vehicle Theft Squad stamp to CVR officials.

After scrutiny of the document by the CVR official, it was discovered that Chikwizira had tendered a forged document for the purpose of changing registration plates, leading to his arrest.
