Simbarashe Chanachimwe, 31, aka Dama, who was arrested on drug peddling charges, was today granted ZWL$50 000 bail.
He was given bail conditions, including residing at the given address and reporting to the police once every fortnight.
Dama had been on the run for some time following a raid at his alleged base at Block 14 Matapi Flats in Mbare where 26 sachets of dagga and one plant of mbanje measuring 1,7 metres were recovered.

Dama’s arrest is part of the operation “No to dangerous drugs and illicit substances,” launched by the police against illegal drug operators over two weeks ago.
On February 20, 91 people were arrested across the country on drug-related cases, bringing total arrests to 2 618.
Meanwhile, three people were injured after Bulawayo City Council police fired rubber bullets to disperse a crowd which had gathered to demonstrate against an operation targeting illegal vendors in Bulawayo CBD on February 23.
The injured have been admitted at United Bulawayo Hospitals.
