The 10th edition of 2023 Rugby World Cup is scheduled to take place in France from September 8 to October 28, 2023 in nine venues across the country and is the first to take place entirely in France.
The tournament has 20 teams competing to win the Webb Ellis Cup.
Africa will be represented by South Africa and Namibia.
Namibia qualified after beating Kenya 36-0 at Rugby Africa Cup 2022.
South Africa had an automatic entry in to the 2023 Rugby World Cup following a top three finish in the pool stages in 2019 Rugby World Cup.
South African Springboks are hoping to lift the title this year.
Wasps Rugby Club South Africa wrote on their Facebook page: “The ultimate battle is upon us as the Rugby World Cup draws near! Our Springboks are gearing up to conquer the field and make us proud. It’s time to unleash our passion and unwavering support!”
England, who were beaten finalists in 2019, will be hoping to go one step better, while high expectations have been placed on the likes of reigning Six Nations champions, Ireland.
France, on the other hand, will be desperate to win a competition they’ve never won before on home soil.
