Former Dynamos mainstay Tendai Matindife has sparked transfer rumors by training with arch-rivals Caps United, seemingly seeking a second chance after a challenging year.

Matindife started strong for Dynamos last season but later saw his form plummet, leading to him being dropped from the team. Despite being named in the provisional squad for 2024, he mysteriously went missing from training and friendly matches.

With Dynamos gearing up for the season-opener next week, Matindife's training with CAPS United raises questions about his future. While initial reports claimed a signed deal, his handler, Adonis Sithole, clarified that no contract has been inked with the Green Machine.

This development adds another layer to the ongoing pre-season drama in Zimbabwean football. Matindife’s potential switch to Dynamos’ biggest rivals would be a significant move, fuelled by his desire to rekindle his career.

Whether he chooses to stay with his former club or embrace a fresh start with CAPS United remains to be seen.
